Getting a work camping job is relatively easy.
There are literally hundreds of jobs available across the country for those that would like to work camp. Looking for a job on the internet is made simple with websites such as:
Choose what area of the country you would like to work, and send out your resume. When we sent out our original resume with KOA, we had 5 job offers within the first week. And we had no experience!
Work camping allows you to travel and experience an area as the locals do.
Because most work camping jobs are about 5-6 months long, it gives you plenty of time on your days off to explore the area and see things that the average tourist has no time to experience.
Every time we have a couple days off, we take a mini vacation and check out something new in the area.
You have the opportunity to meet and stay friends with many other people that you have the RV lifestyle in common with.
We have made friends that we will keep forever. Some, we may not work with again, but it is a small world out there.
On Dave’s first week working in St. Petersburg, a camper remembered him from Bar Harbor. We even got stopped once in Santa Fe, NM by a camper that remembered us from Orlando!
