A Review of 2016 on the Road

New Gadgets for 2016

Dave is a fan of gadgets and things that make our life on the road easier.  Here are a few that he found and bought this year:

Countertop Ice Maker Well, it had to happen.  If we don’t get the one in the refrigerator fixed, we need to find another way to have ice.  Both of us were tired of running to the store.  This was the next best thing.  And it works amazingly well!

Car cover This was made especially for the KIA Soul and will protect it from damage while towing.  Unfortunately, it does nothing for the vehicle when actually driving it.

DeLonghi Full Room Electric Radiator We found that the Tucson winters are a little chillier than we expected.  Propane heat can become expensive even in our little coach.  This little electric radiator can help keep the coach toasty on cooler days and works well on the most chilly days with the propane heat as a back up.

Looking at 2017

We will be living and working in Tucson until the end of March, and then will be heading towards Atlanta for the birth of our first grandchild.

From there, we do not have anything planned in stone.  We will probably be in Atlanta for several months to enjoy the baby, and then move on to our next campground.  That is the great thing about living in a house on wheels!

You never know what is around the next corner…

  1. Very neat post and I made it into a picture!!! LOL, Ya’ll have had some amazing adventures and it’s just the beginning! Can’t wait to have ya’ll home for a while though.

  2. Oh, oh, that first grand baby is going to make it hard for you and Dave to leave! My husband and I took care of the 2 youngest grand babies everyday until they both started school. Now we are free for the winter so we leave and travel in our RV. In fact, we just missed each other in Tucson! Maybe one day we will meet! We are in Lake Havasu for the winter. We are also loving the RV life too!

  3. Congrats on the new grandbaby on its way! Your RV life amuses and interests me. Sounds like something I’d like to do if hubby would hurry up and retire. After you become a grandmother, be sure to drop by our Blogging Grandmothers Link Party 🙂 Until then, would love to have you party with some awesome bloggers at my Wednesday AIM Link Party 🙂
